Pre-Mixed Agar Powder, in individual 200g jars.  Perfect for general mycology culture work.

Our resealable Pre-Mix Agar Jars make up to 5L of agar mixture.  Just add to hot water, mix, and sterilise!

Quick and convenient!  Spend less time staring at scales, and more time on the mycology.

Available Varieties:

• MEA (Malt Extract Agar)
• MYA (Malt Extract Yeast Agar)
• PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar)
• PDYA (Potato Dextrose Yeast Agar)
• Carbon PDYA (Activated Carbon PDYA)

For Best Results:

1. Boil water.
2. Keep stirring water and sprinkle the pre-mix powder gradually into the water (amount varies by formula, and is specified on the packaging)
3. Allow the powder on the surface to dissolve before adding more.
4. Keeping the mixture moving whilst adding the powder will help to prevent clumping.
5. Mix until fully dissolved.
6. Add to your vessel of choice, sterilise, and pour!
