Delivery & Returns


We aim to dispatch orders within 1-3 working days.

Some items are made to order or have a lead time – this is specified on the individual product page. 

Whilst we will endeavour to produce and dispatch such items within lead times these are given as an indication only, based on current volumes.

Delivery cost is calculated at checkout, based on order weight.

Orders over £50 are eligible for free UK shipping!

Please be aware:

From 1 July 2021, there are changes for items being sold into the EU from outside the EU, including Great Britain. These are the launch of the EU Import One Stop Shop scheme and changes to VAT rules.

Any item sold to the EU with a value of €22 or less will no longer be exempt from VAT. This means ALL items sold to the EU will be subject to the local rate of VAT and charges of the destination country.

Applicable duties/fees are payable on receipt, and are not collected by us or included in our prices. Please bear this in mind when placing your order.

The delivery times on this page are estimates provided by the delivery service provider.  We are not able to guarantee delivery within these timeframes.  


If your order has been damaged, or you believe an item may need replacement:

  • Take photos of any affected items, and all packaging.
  • If there is damage to the external packaging, please photograph before opening.
  • Check condition of Pre-poured plates, Cultures, and other Sterile items prior to opening.
  • In the event of any issues with pre-poured plates or slants, please take a photograph showing both sealed ends of the sleeve, and one or more showing examples of the issue.
  • Returns/refunds will not be accepted once the sterile packaging has been opened.
  • Let us know as soon as possible at
  • Please also retain all packaging as this may be needed for further investigation into the cause, and to make a claim with the carrier if applicable.

Any ‘made-to-order’ or customised products, those sold as “sterile” or “sterilised”, or those containing Live Cultures are exempt from return/refund or order cancellation, unless otherwise stated.  

Any returns/refunds accepted on “sterile” items, Live Cultures, or those with a Use By or Best Before date, will apply only if the item is unused, has been stored according to our instruction, and the packaging is sealed, undamaged, and unopened. 

Refunds may be subject to a processing or restocking fee up to 10% of order value.

All returns must be postmarked within 14 days of the purchase date. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, with all original tags and labels attached, as applicable.

To return an item, place the item securely in its original packaging and contact us for authorisation to return at: We will then supply a return address.  

Please do not ship to the return address without authorisation as additional fees may be incurred.

After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your return. Please allow at least 7 days from the receipt of your item to process your return.
